What to Expect at Your Appointment

Your travel health consultation typically lasts 20-30 minutes. During this time, our specialist travel nurse will review your complete itinerary including all destinations, accommodation types, and planned activities. We will check your existing vaccination records and medical history to create a personalised protection plan. You will receive all necessary vaccinations on the day where possible, along with written documentation for your records. We also provide detailed advice on food and water safety, insect bite prevention, and what to do if you fall ill abroad. If you need multiple vaccines, we can schedule follow-up appointments to complete your course.

Frequently Asked Questions

?

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 6-8 weeks before travel for optimal protection. Some vaccines require multiple doses over several weeks. However, we can accommodate last-minute travellers and provide same-day appointments where possible.

?

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring your passport, any existing vaccination records (yellow card), details of your travel itinerary including dates and accommodation, and a list of any medications you currently take.

?

Are the vaccines safe?

All vaccines we provide are licensed and approved for use in the UK. Side effects are typically mild and temporary, such as soreness at the injection site or mild fever. Our team will discuss any specific considerations based on your health history.

?

Can I get vaccines if I am pregnant?

Some vaccines are safe during pregnancy while others should be avoided. We will carefully assess your individual situation and provide appropriate alternatives where needed. Always inform us if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
